KKO's years of experience with specialized technologies developed for
the transit industry including scheduling systems, customer itinerary
planning systems and revenue collection / management applications makes
the firm an ideal partner to help any transit agency introduce a new
technology.
MBTA Maintenance Control Reporting System Implementation Support

- To improve operational
efficiency, the MBTA has purchased management and maintenance software
from Maximus to replace the legacy Maintenance Control Reporting System
(MCRS). KKO is working with Maximus and the MBTA to integrate the
software into the daily operations at the MBTA. The software is focused
on helping to organize operations at each garage and improve the integration
with other departments.
CTA Maintenance Management Information System

- The Chicago Transit Authority
(CTA) is implementing the Maximus FleetFocus and RailFocus maintenance
management products. KKO is assisting with business process analysis,
training mechanics, supervisors and analysts, and post-implementation
support.
MARTA Enterprise Asset Management System Implementation Support

- MARTA has undertaken
a Business Transformation Process to replace legacy systems with integrated
Enterprise Resource Planning and Enterprise Asset Management systems.
KKO is supporting IBM, Maximus, and Bentley in the implementation
of the Enterprise Asset Management systems.
Chicago Bus and Rail Scheduling System

- The Chicago Transit Authority
(CTA) is upgrading their bus and rail scheduling software. KKO is
assisting the HASTUS vendor in training new schedulers; creating specifications
for all interfaces related to bus and rail stops that will feed other
systems such as the traffic checking database, the stops maintenance
database and a new GPS-based AVL system; and establishing the physical
geocode location for each stop and station in the database.
Pittsburgh Customer Information

- KKO assisted MultiSystems,
Inc. in the design and development of a Customer Information System
for PA Transit in Pittsburgh, PA. PA Transit replaced its suite of
scheduling, dispatching, and customer information applications with
products from GIRO and Multisystems. KKO provided on-site software
programming and system integration services.
Automated Information Retrieval System for Customer Information

- KKO supported the implementation
of an Automated Information Retrieval System for Customer Information
at the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA).
Working with Teleride, Inc., KKO provided the underlying Geographic
Information System containing the definition and location of 80,000
bus stops, routes, points of interest, and fare information to support
the itinerary-planning module of AIRS.
NYCTA Service Planning System

- With MultiSystems, Inc.,
KKO designed and programmed a networked microcomputer database application
to manage and analyze all ridecheck and pointcheck data collected
by the New York City Transit Authority's Service Planning Division.
This system is used to process all data collected by NYCTA's force
of 250 traffic checkers who regularly ride buses making counts of
passengers by stop and monitoring schedule adherence (ride checks)
and also regularly monitor service conditions in the street by logging
buses on all routes passing a common station to determine loading
and service delivery patterns.
RIPTA Scheduling System

- For the Rhode Island
Public Transportation Authority, KKO contributed to the development
of a transit scheduling tool for use on an OS/2 network. The system
is used to schedule all public transit service in the State of Rhode
Island.
Chicago Bus Operating Data Base

- KKO participated in a
project to develop a centralized database to receive, store, and report
route and bus operating statistics for the Chicago Transit Authority.
Data collected via a variety of channels was uploaded and stored on
a central DB2 database for reporting and analysis.
Omaha Scheduling System

- In support of MultiSystems,
Inc., KKO customized transit scheduling software for the Omaha Transit
Authority to schedule local bus service.
Buffalo Computer Scheduling Information System

- KKO, as a subcontractor
to MultiSystems, Inc. contributed to the development of a transit
scheduling tool for the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority.
KKO was primarily responsible for custom reports and interfaces to
other systems.
Cleveland Computerized Scheduling System

- Working as a subcontractor
to MultiSystems, Inc., KKO contributed to the development of a crew
and vehicle transit scheduling tool for the Cleveland Regional Transit
Authority. KKO was responsible for data conversion and custom management
reports.
Metro North Crew Scheduling System

- As a subcontractor to
MultiSystems, Inc., KKO supported the installation of an innovative
computerized crew scheduling system for Connecticut and New York's
Metro-North Commuter Railroad.
Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority TIM

- As a subcontractor to
MultiSystems, Inc., KKO customized reports and screens for the MBTA's
IBM PC-based Transit Information Management System.
Baltimore Transit Information Manager

- KKO, working as a subcontractor
to MultiSystems, Inc., developed customized reports and screens for
the Baltimore MTA's Transit Information Management (TIM) package,
designed to operate in Pascal on an IBM PC.
